Keppel Land donated VND7.4 billion to support COVID-19 relief efforts in Vietnam

Keppel Land has donated a total of VND7.4 billion in support of Vietnam’s nationwide efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. This was announced today at a ceremony organised by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) in Ho Chi Minh City.

A total donation of VND7.1 billion was made through Keppel Land Vietnam and its joint venture company, Keppel Land Watco II, to VFF. The donation supports Vietnam’s vaccination efforts and provides medical supplies to local hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City as well as other affected regions in Vietnam. In addition, a further VND300 million worth of medical supplies was donated by Keppel Land Watco II to government agencies in Ho Chi Minh City.

VFF expressed appreciation for Keppel’s concern and support for Vietnam’s ongoing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. With the strong local and overseas support, VFF believes that Vietnam will be able protect the health and lives of its people, stabilise society and continue the country’s development.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Keppel Land has put in place precautionary measures to minimise the spread of the virus and protect its employees, building tenants and visitors, as well as implemented business continuity plans. Keppel Land is currently also exploring other measures to support vulnerable groups in Vietnam in the fight against COVID-19.
