At the Vietnam Investment Conference 2023 organised by the Embassy of Vietnam in Singapore held on 17 July in Singapore, Mr Joseph Low, President (Vietnam) of Keppel’s Real Estate Division, participated in a panel discussion to share about Keppel’s global experience in renewable energy, clean energy, decarbonisation, environmental infrastructure and how the Company is exploring investment opportunities in the digital economy in Vietnam.

During his sharing, Mr Joseph Low emphasized that Keppel is well-placed to provide compelling end-to-end solutions that can fast forward the energy transition and sustainable development. The Company contributes towards a low-carbon future and supports Vietnam’s built environment sector and the manufacturing sector on its path towards carbon neutrality.

In the data centre business, Keppel is uniquely positioned to provide integrated end-to-end solutions, from the provision of clean energy, development and operation of high-quality green data centres, to the raising of funds to invest in greenfield developments and the monetisation of stabilised assets through Keppel DC REIT.

Keppel has also recently expressed its intention to enter the data centre sector and in the clean energy transition in Vietnam, in addition to the real estate and energy sectors.

The Vietnam Investment Conference 2023 themed “Seizing Investment Opportunities in Vietnam in Response to New Changes” was organised on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations for Singapore and Vietnam and the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam-Singapore Strategic Partnership. The event aims to discuss the local macroeconomic landscape, strategies for development, and upcoming investment opportunities in Vietnam.

The Vietnam Investment Conference 2023 was officiated by Vietnam Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr Bui Thanh Son and Singapore Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Dr Vivian Balakrishnan as well as over 250 delegates including economic experts, leaders of business associations and leading investment groups and enterprises of the two countries.
