Keppel recognised among Vietnam’s top 50 companies for corporate sustainability for the fourth consecutive year

Ho Chi Minh City, 16 July 2025 – Keppel has been named among the top 50 companies for corporate sustainability in Vietnam, marking its fourth consecutive year receiving this accolade. The recognition was presented at the 2025 Top 50 Corporate Sustainability Awards (CSA), organised by Nhip Cau Dau Tu Magazine, which celebrates companies driving sustainable development in Vietnam.

This year, Keppel was honoured in two categories namely, Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Activity and Minimising Carbon Footprint. This reflects Keppel’s steadfast commitment to sustainability and its efforts to create meaningful impact wherever the Company operates.

Mr Joseph Low, Chief Representative, Vietnam, and President, Vietnam, Real Estate, Keppel Ltd., said, “Keppel is committed to creating solutions for a sustainable future. We believe that sustainability is not just a responsibility but a core part of how we create value. We are proud to be recognised among the top 50 sustainable companies in Vietnam once again and will continue our efforts to deliver positive environmental, social and economic outcomes for our communities.”

As a global asset manager and operator with strong expertise in sustainability-related solutions spanning the areas of infrastructure, real estate and connectivity, Keppel provides critical infrastructure and services for renewables, clean energy, decarbonisation, sustainable urban renewal and digital connectivity.

The Company has set measurable environmental sustainability targets, including reducing Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions, lowering water and waste intensity, increasing renewable energy utilisation and expanding its portfolio of renewable energy assets.

Over the last three years, Keppel has generated over 125,000 kWh of clean energy, equivalent to VND500 million, through solar panels installed at its commercial development in Vietnam.

To minimise its Scope 3 emissions, Keppel’s Real Estate Division is increasing the use of green-labelled and low-emission materials and products. Notably, Keppel’s residential project in Ho Chi Minh City, The Infiniti, is the first project in Vietnam to adopt the CO2 Mineralised Concrete technology in construction, significantly reducing embodied carbon, by over 1,135 tonnes.

Keppel’s Infrastructure Division has introduced the first of its kind Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) solution to Vietnam. The subscription-based EaaS solution, which includes energy supply, cooling, decarbonisation and smart energy management, enables businesses and building owners to enjoy significant energy savings without having to make heavy upfront investments.

In Vietnam, Keppel’s sustainability efforts go beyond operations to include a wide range of community-focused initiatives. These include the Bytes for Future initiative, which equips young generations with digital tools and skills to thrive in the digital age; the Living Well programme providing clean water access to some 88,000 residents in nine drought-affected communes; and the ‘R.I.S.E. to the Challenge’ programme, which raises awareness among the students about climate change and rising sea levels.

Since 2022, Keppel has contributed nearly VND7 billion to community initiatives in Vietnam and logged over 7,600 hours of volunteer service. Through more than 30 CSR programmes, the Company has positively impacted over 84,000 lives across more than 10 provinces in the country. Keppel’s consistent recognition underscores its commitment to shaping a sustainable and inclusive future for Vietnam and beyond.
