Students couldn’t hide their smiles as they received scholarships for their outstanding academic performances at the Nang Buoc Thu Khoa programme held on 9 January.
“I am profoundly grateful for this invaluable scholarship, which not only eases the financial strain but also fuels my determination to excel. This support is a beacon of hope, and I promise to study tirelessly, fueled by gratitude and a commitment to make the most of this opportunity.” – Nguyen Thanh Minh, a freshman at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, happily shared at the programme.
Minh was among 15 valedictorians and students who received scholarships, presented by Keppel at the Nang Buoc Thu Khoa scholarship programme. This is part of the annual “Fund for Young Talents of Vietnam” programme held by the local newspaper Tien Phong, under the Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union Central Committee.
At the Nang Buoc Thu Khoa scholarship programme, Keppel has stepped forward as a sponsor, presenting scholarships to commendable valedictorians and students with outstanding academic performances. This is the fourth consecutive year that the Company has supported the programme. Notably, Keppel is the sole foreign sponsor of this year’s programme.

“I never thought I could make my university dream happen. It's not because of my academy performance, but because of my financial background, especially when the weight of my family's financial struggles loomed large. There were moments when the thought of continuing my education seemed like an impossible feat because my father passed away”, Minh shared at the event.
The scholarships provided by Keppel will play a crucial role in alleviating financial burdens for these deserving students, including Minh, allowing them to pursue their academic goals unhindered.

Since 2011, Keppel Ltd.’s Real Estate Division in Vietnam has awarded over 100 scholarships to students through various educational initiatives. These scholarships underscore the Company's commitment to fostering education and making a positive impact in the lives of aspiring students facing financial difficulties.
