“We are excited by the many growth opportunities in Vietnam for sustainability solutions,” Mr Adris Bin Isnin, Senior Director, Head of Technical Services, Real Estate Division (Vietnam), Keppel Corporation, expressed enthusiasm about the sustainability-related opportunities in Vietnam.

On 8 December, Mr Adris Bin Isnin attended the Global Business Forum 2023, organised by RMIT University, as one of the panelists to share with other guests, lecturers and over 400 RMIT students how Keppel has capitalised on growth opportunities in Vietnam and taken initiatives in alignment with the global sustainable trend.

He also mentioned Vietnam's target to achieve net zero by 2050 at COP26. This goal creates numerous opportunities for the development of green products and services, facilitated by the contribution of foreign companies interested in this objective. Keppel is among them.

“Leveraging our SUR expertise, we will continue to future proof our new developments at the onset by using innovative and green design features that optimise energy consumption. These include deploying PV panels, highly efficient air conditioning systems and smart LED lighting systems, allowing us to minimise the energy consumption of buildings. Next step, we plan to implement such innovative green design features in our Saigon Centre Phase 3 development. In this 3rd phase, we will be adding another 102,000 sm of urban space comprising office, retail and hotel components, to further expand the array of offerings for tenants and visitors,” he added.

On the other hand, as a global asset manager and operator with deep capabilities in infrastructure, real estate, and connectivity, Keppel can bring in global financial investors, who will contribute capital to fund the development of more solutions and assets that are also smarter and greener. The Company will leverage its strong track record in the development and operation of such assets to provide critical infrastructure and services for renewables, clean energy, decarbonisation, sustainable urban renewal and digital connectivity to Vietnam.

In the energy sector, given the growing emphasis on green and circular economy in Vietnam, Keppel is making significant progress with the launch of the Operations Nerve Centre (ONC) to offer long-term 'Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS)' solutions to many domestic customers.

Keppel is also uniquely positioned to provide integrated solutions for data centres from clean energy to asset development, operations and management to support customers' net zero ambitions. Its data centre portfolio has a strong international presence with 32 data centres across Asia-Pacific and Europe. As demand for data storage increases in Vietnam, the Company will offer its integrated data centre solutions to support Vietnam’s fast-growing digital economy.
