On the morning of April 18, the atmosphere at Sedona Suites was more vibrant than usual. Over 200 people gathered in unity to support the first blood donation drive of 2025.
Jointly organised by Keppel, Saigon Centre, Sedona Suites, Ben Nghe Ward, and the Ho Chi Minh City Humanitarian Blood Donation Center, this annual initiative has been held seven times since 2019. This year’s first instalment welcomed over 200 participants, including Keppel staff, tenants, and visitors at Saigon Centre. By the end of the event, nearly 300 units of blood had been donated, expected to bring renewed hope and life to almost 900 patients in need.
Dr Tran Thi Tham, General Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Humanitarian Blood Donation Center, remarked, “The blood donation process was thoughtfully and professionally organised, especially with the implementation of digital solutions in volunteer registration. This meaningful initiative should be expanded further to help the city and healthcare sector maintain a safe, high-quality, and stable blood supply."

Mr Le Nguyen Viet Nam, Vice Chairman of the Ben Nghe Ward People’s Committee and one of the donors at the event, shared, “I truly commend Keppel for this meaningful initiative and feel honoured to contribute in a small way to support patients in need. This programme not only provides a second chance at life for many but also spreads the spirit of compassion and community responsibility.”

The blood donation drive has become a key annual highlight in Keppel’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts in Vietnam. Beyond being an act of social responsibility, it also provides a platform for tenants, visitors at Saigon Centre, Keppel employees, and the wider community to embody the values of compassion and solidarity, principles that Keppel upholds on its journey of sustainable development.
Mr Vo Thanh Nghi, a former Keppel employee, continues to take part in the programme every year. He shared, “Although I no longer work at Keppel, I still feel deeply connected to this meaningful initiative. The blood donation drive gives me the opportunity to contribute to society in a tangible way. It’s a beautiful tradition that I hope to continue for years to come.”
A notable feature of this year’s event was the fully digital registration process, enabling participants to sign up for blood donation in just three simple steps via a mobile app. This update not only enhanced the overall donor experience, but also aligns with Vietnam’s digital transformation efforts in the modern era.
