Immerse in the Japanese ancient villages at Saigon Centre's Japan festival

The Japan Festival will take place at Saigon Centre from 5 to 21 April 2024.

Ho Chi Minh City, 5 April 2024 – Saigon Centre, Keppel’s flagship mixed-use development in Ho Chi Minh City, is holding its annual Japan Festival from 5 to 21 April for the third consecutive year. The theme of this year’s festival is inspired by gassho-zukuri architecture (thatched-roof house) of ancient Japanese villages nestled beneath Sakura branches. Visitors can enjoy the stunning scenery of cherry blossoms, take photos at cute Japanese strawberry-themed photo spots, and participate in an array of Japan-themed activities and promotions during the Festival.
The opening ceremony was graced by Mr. Masuo Ono, Consul-General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, together with Mr. Nobuyuki Matsumoto, Chief Representative of Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, and Mr. Joseph Low, Chairman of Keppel Land Watco I to V, the joint venture entities for Saigon Centre, and President, Real Estate (Vietnam), Keppel Ltd.

Mr. Joseph Low said, "We are honoured to hold the Japan Festival at Saigon Centre for the 3rd consecutive year. From the 5th to the 21st of April, we will introduce Japanese brands and offer thrilling Japan-inspired activities amidst our mall-wide Sakura-themed decorations to customers. The Festival not only enhances the shopping experience at Saigon Centre but also solidifies the mall as a vibrant placemaking destination in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.”
