Take a journey through sakura and heritage at Saigon Centre Japan Festival

The Japan Festival, an annual event celebrating Japan’s rich cultural heritage and traditions, will take place from 4 to 20 April 2025 at Saigon Centre.

Ho Chi Minh City, 4 April 2025 – Saigon Centre, Keppel’s flagship mixed-use development in Ho Chi Minh City, is hosting its annual Japan Festival from 4 to 20 April for the fourth consecutive year. This year’s festival draws inspiration from Japan’s iconic cherry blossoms, the majestic Himeji Castle, and the tranquil Nishinomaru Garden. Visitors can enjoy exclusive promotions and a wide range of exciting Japan-themed activities.

The opening ceremony was graced by Mr Masuo Ono, Consul-General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City, and Mr Joseph Low, Chairman of Keppel Land Watco I to V, the joint venture entities for Saigon Centre, President, Real Estate Division (Vietnam), and Head of Retail, Keppel Ltd.

From 4 to 20 April, visitors can embark on a cultural journey through Japan’s historic landmarks, experience immersive activities and explore renowned Japanese brands. More than just a festival, this celebration enhances the shopping experience and strengthens Saigon Centre’s position as a vibrant hub of culture, connection, and discovery in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City.”

This year’s highlight is the mysterious "blind boxes”, featuring unique King & Queen mascots inspired by the Edo period, which will be available to shoppers with qualifying purchases. During the festival, Rewards+ members can enjoy exclusive promotions from popular Japanese brands such as ABC-Mart Grand Stage, Uniqlo, Gatsby, LuLuLun, Nucos, LAC, etc. along with KAO, the festival’s main sponsor.

In addition, the festival offers a diverse lineup of cultural performances such as Japanese martial arts. Visitors can also take part in various traditional art workshops such as Ikebana arrangement, Tsumami craft, the tea ceremony, sushi & wagashi making, matcha tasting etc., as well as other family-oriented workshops like pudding decorating, Chibi drawing, origami, decorate paper fans/picture frames/ key chains, bead sewing & charm, etc.
