Keppel Corporation (Keppel) was recognised in the past week by the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (SIAS) and UN Global Compact Network Singapore respectively for its outstanding sustainability performance and sustainable solutions.  

This evening, Keppel was conferred the new Singapore Corporate Sustainability Award (Big Cap) at the SIAS Investors’ Choice Awards 2023. The Singapore Corporate Sustainability Award, which is based on investor-centric research developed by SIAS, together with the NUS Business School Centre for Governance and Sustainability, aims to recognise companies that have achieved high levels of corporate sustainability performance while achieving good business and financial results. The award, which is supported by the Singapore Exchange and endorsed by esteemed industry organisations and institutions, also uses Refinitiv data, which incorporates investment selection criteria including earnings, valuation and risk which are important to investors.

On 3 November 2023, Keppel was also named a Winner in the Sustainable Solutions category at the Singapore Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards 2023, organised by UN Global Compact Network Singapore. The Singapore Apex Corporate Sustainability Awards is the Singapore benchmark of excellence in corporate sustainability, and recognises businesses whose operations or solutions have demonstrated excellence in embodying the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, in the areas of environment, human rights, labour and anti-corruption. The award for the Sustainable Solutions category recognises businesses that excel in developing products or services that address the sustainability needs of other businesses.

In October 2023, Keppel also received the President’s Award for the Environment, the highest environmental accolade for individuals, educational institutions and organisations that have made outstanding contributions towards the environment and sustainability, as well as building a climate-resilient future for Singapore.

Keppel’s sustainability efforts have also been recognised through its inclusion in various indices, including the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Asia Pacific Indices, as well as the highest MSCI AAA ESG rating.
