Keppel Corporation Limited (Keppel) has been conferred Winner of the Singapore Corporate Governance Award 2022 (Big Cap) at the Securities Investors Association (Singapore) (SIAS) Investors’ Choice Awards today. This is the second consecutive year that Keppel has won this award, which aims to encourage public listed companies to adopt high levels of corporate governance and sustainability practices.

Since 2021, the Singapore Corporate Governance Award has been revamped to include sustainability disclosures in its scoring methodology. The award is based on an investor-centric approach, developed by SIAS, together with the NUS School of Business, Centre for Governance and Sustainability, to recognise companies that have achieved excellence in their corporate governance and sustainability practices. It also uses Refinitiv data which incorporates investment selection criteria including earnings, valuation and risk, which are important metrics for investors. 

Mr Loh Chin Hua, CEO of Keppel Corporation, was also selected as a recipient of the inaugural SIAS Investors’ Choice Outstanding CEO Award. The criteria used in determining this award include (i) integrity, (ii) governance and transparency, (iii) shareholders’ return and share price, (iv) communication skills, as well as (v) resilience and business breakthroughs.
